报告人简介：吴肖乐，复旦管理学院副教授。她先后在清华大学和华盛顿大学圣路易斯分校Olin商学院获得工业工程学士学位和运营管理博士学位。她的研究兴趣包括供应量管理中的风险与不确定分析，以及与运营管理相关的交叉学科。目前她有多篇论文发表在Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Energy Economics, and European Journal of Operational Research等国际知名期刊上。她曾获得第四届CSAMSE会议的最佳论文奖，复旦大学杰出青年教师奖。

摘要: Supply chains in many industries increasingly entail commercialization of a critical piece of technology developed by an upstream technology supplier. The focal technology is licensed to specialist design firms and designed into products, which are fabricated by specialist manufacturers. Characterizing decisions taken by the technology, design, and manufacturing firms and their implications for supply chain profits form the focus of this paper.  We examine the technology supplier's licensing decision in such emerging network supply chain settings where the capability of a design firm is not publicly known. We find that the supply chain and firm profits are critically affected by the market's technology sensitivity and whether or not the license agreement between the technology and design firms is kept confidential from the manufacturer. We analyze when the design firm finds it incentive compatible to ensure confidentiality, and compare outcomes of a network supply chain with an integrated supply chain where the technology supplier licenses to a single integrated design-manufacturer. We show that the network model can outperform the integrated configuration and conditionally produce gains for all supply chain entities. Our groundbreaking modeling, analysis, and results help explain the emergence of such network supply chains and offer prescriptions for structuring them for superior outcomes.
